Community Public Art at ArtWorks

During the week of October 9-15, the public was invited to help create a new artwork that is temporarily displayed on the fence at ArtWorks (201 2nd Ave. S). This was a wonderful opportunity for families and others interested in working with an artist to make art for our community.

Artist Marita Dingus provided inspiration and guidance to young and old.

Exhibited internationally, Dingus creates mixed media sculpture out of discarded materials. The goal of her art is to show people’s ability to prosper under dire circumstances. Learn more about Marita Dingus at http://www.maritadingus.com/.
