Art Exchange between students in the Edmonds area and students in Cameroon.
Sarah Maki, Co-Chair of the Edmonds Community College Art Department and coordinator of the upcoming artist in residency with artist Max Lyonga explains:

Sherwood Elementary students proudly showcase the art they have done as part of the art exchange with students in Cameroon.
Our penpal exchange between 300 students from 9 schools in the Edmonds area and students in Cameroon started successfully last fall with students sending letters and artwork describing their lives in western Washington.
In December, all 300 students received written responses from students in Cameroon.
In addition to starting a mural exchange with Cameroon, the students here are now busy writing their responses to their new penpals.
Thanks to support from the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation, area students are connecting with students in West Africa and learning more about contemporary life in Cameroon!
