Max Lyonga, an accomplished painter from Cameroon with international exposure, depicts themes of contemporary life in southwest Cameroon with a positive message of hope that transcends all boundaries and cultures. Lyonga will speak as part of the college’s lecture series and exhibit his work the “Therapy of Hope” April 11-June 10 in the college art gallery. Meet Lyonga as well at a reception for the exhibit 4-6:30 p.m., Fri., April 15 in the college art gallery.

While in the area April 2-16, Lyonga will serve as a visiting artist to the college as well as 10 area K-12 schools with whom he has been administering an art and letter exchange with students in Cameroon. For information about the student exchange, click here.
