The focus for the third workshop (held March 5th at the Meadowdale Building at Edmonds Community College) was the Element – Color. Using knowledge and skills from the previous workshops, participants learned color basics using watercolor and completed a 6″x6″ composition in watercolor.
Watch for more workshops being offered in the spring or contact piperl@edmonds.wednet.edu for more information.
The ArtMarks Workshops with Lael Williams are supported by a Community Grant by the EAF Foundation.
The Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation is pleased to support the Community Workshop (formerly the pARTner’s Education group), a group that includes the cities of Edmonds and Lynnwood, Edmonds Community College, Edmonds District 15 and at large community representation (specifically targeted for under-represented groups). This group has taken the work and projects they have collectively developed over the past five years and created a structure for support for both schools and community groups interested in arts education.
When ArtMarks was originally made available to teachers in the Edmonds School District, the EAFF provided funding in support of production costs.
