Festival Posters

The EAF Museum maintains a collection of Edmonds Arts Festival limited edition posters, a primary fund raising venture of the EAF Foundation since 1983, which features the work of one outstanding regional artist each year.

The poster has been a fund raising effort of the EAF
Foundation since 1983. This year we present a Featured Artist Poster rather than a signed limited edition. It will be offered in the standard poster size, 18 x 24 inches. Both the Featured Artist Poster and the Student Poster will be offered as mini posters (11 x 14 inches) and as a matted postcard size (suitable for framing in an 8 x 10” frame).

The 2011 Featured Poster Artist is Randy Emmons, a signature member of Northwest Watercolor Society and Associate of the National Watercolor Society. Having his career as a Navy photographer behind him, he’s returned to the art world. Randy comments, “To me watercolor shines! When it is laid down cleanly with the whites intact, the sparkle in the image makes the painting a magnet to me. I don’t believe any other medium forces a painter to work with what the paint wants to do the way watercolor does. It runs, bleeds, mixes and separates on its own—and I love it!”

In addition to the poster original, “Guardians of the Sound”, enjoy a full exhibit of original work by Randy Emmons in the EAF Museum. Works in this exhibit will be for sale throughout the Festival weekend. The exhibit of his watercolors will continue through July 5, 2011.

The EAF Museum Gallery is located at the Frances Anderson Center Main Entrance, 700 Main Street, Edmonds. Gallery Hours: Mon – Fri 9 to 9, Sat – 10 to 3. For information call 425.771.1984.
